This month I have been on a huge baking spree. I guess I can feel the approaching of spring and it gets me so pumped!
The other day I was browsing on Pinterest for Nutella icing for my cookies, because… well I’m a Nutella addict. With great surprise, I could not find any recipe. I know, crazy! So I got in the kitchen and started experimenting. All you need for this recipes is Nutella (duh!), milk chocolate of your choice, and a microwave.
In five minutes you’ll have a wonderful batch of smooth Nutella icing. I will say I did not try to piping the icing on my cookies as I am terrible at piping. If you try it, please let me know how that goes. I mainly dipped my shortbread cookies in the warm Nutella icing and let them harden. I like to add a little sparkle on my cookies with some edible gold sugar.
If you love Nutella as much as I do, you’ll end up dipping all kinds of food in it. Imagine the endless possibilities. Nutella covered strawberries, banana, pretzels… Yum! Perfect for a Valentine’s treat.
So get in the kitchen and have fun.
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- Pour the Nutella and milk chocolate in a microwave safe bowl.
- Microwave at 30 seconds intervals until chocolate is fully melted. Make sure to stir the chocolate in between intervals.
