Ciao Amici! Hope you’re having a wonderful week. As you may have notice from my social media posts, Chris and I have recently adopted a loving dog from the Tuscaloosa Metro. We are now proud fur-parents!
His name is Buddy and he is a 7 year old Alaskan Husky mix. Since we got him from the animal shelter, we don’t have many information about his previous owner, lifestyle, or his actual breed. Some say he is a husky-lab, some say he is a husky-Shepard. Want to place your bet? Let me know what breed you think he is in a comment below! All we know so far is that Buddy is a loving, grumpy, and clever pup. He’s favorite hobbies are sleeping, eating, going to the dog park, and taking very -VERY- long walks.
1. When you know, you know
When I thought of owning a dog, I thought of a cute, little lap dog not a wolf. I’ve always been uncomfortable around big dogs, so a medium size one sounded the best solution. In August, as I was scrolling through the animal shelter’s website I saw Buddy, this beautiful reddish husky with big sad eyes. My heart melted. How could anyone abandon such beautiful dog?He was too pretty to be there. I went home and all I could do was think about the fact that his time was about to expire – unfortunately Tuscaloosa Metro is a kill shelter. I talked to my husband and the next day we on our merry way to meet Buddy.
